We're getting married
Saat phere — seven steps, one life.
Saturday 13 February 2027 in Jaipur

A cousin swore we'd get on. We ignored her for a year, then proved her right in a month.
The families said their yes at the roka. Now there's haldi to turn us both gloriously yellow, a mehndi afternoon of henna and gossip, and a sangeet where both sides will dance like it's a competition, because it is.
On the wedding morning Arjun arrives with the baraat, dancing the whole way. Under the mandap we'll take the saat phere, seven steps around the sacred fire, one vow each, and then the vidaai, the goodbye that makes everyone cry.
Come for all of it. Wear colour, bring your appetite, and save something for the dance floor.

Where the ceremony and reception are. A room block is held for guests.
Heritage and lovely, near the mehndi.
Your blessings mean the most. If you'd like to give, we're gathering toward a home and a honeymoon, with thanks.
Come to as many as you can. Haldi is intimate and messy, mehndi and sangeet are the fun warm-ups, and the wedding morning is the heart of it.
Colour, and plenty of it. Yellow for the haldi, festive Indian for the mehndi and sangeet, traditional formal for the ceremony.
The auspicious time (muhurat) is mid-morning, so the baraat arrives at 9. Please don't be late for the pheras.
